John is 1 Today!

Our sweet little Johnny is 1 year old today! What a blessing he is to our lives; we thank God for him, and we continue to pray that we can raise him well and help him to know and love the Lord. It's so fun watching our little guy start growing up.

Here is one of the first photos of John, taken a year ago today, just after he was born, in Grand Prairie, Texas...


And now, a year later...here are some photos of John on his first birthday! The day started off well, with Aunt Becca sharing her yogurt with him:



And he got tickled...

And then he pretty much played and had fun all day (the usual):

And then, of course, in the evening, the mandatory first-birthday chocolate cake. John promptly picked up his piece with his hands and managed to get about half of it in his mouth (the other half fell down into his bib). He really seemed to enjoy it...

So now John is one...we love you, John!!!
