How quickly life can come to an end...this thought has been on my mind since watching the news last night. One of my French language learning activities that I (Ruth) have been doing is to watch a 15-minute French news podcast that highlights major events going on in the world. Recent episodes have been full of images and information about the tragic recent crash of an Air France Jet. Watching this coverage was so sad, but a reminder of the reality that we have no promise of tomorrow here on this earth.
God appoints a time for this life to be over, but He is also the one who gives us so many things in this life to enjoy. One of these things is good friends. We are already enjoying getting to know some individuals and families here; this afternoon, we got to spend some time with J.D. and Eli, pictured here with Adam and the yummy (and pretty!) treats they brought us from La Mie Câline bakery.
