the sitting baby

We're learning French, and John meanwhile is learning all sorts of things! One of the things he's learning to do is to get himself into a sitting position and sit without help.

I observe other babies from time to time and find it kind of funny that although every baby goes through the same stages, we're always amazed by the progress our own baby makes--each tooth, each sound, each new movement is so exciting to us!

But I think the reason we're amazed by John's development is that it truly is wonderful how God has created babies with the ability to learn and develop in so many ways!
