David Bendor-Samuel preached at GIAL chapel this morning in the second of a three part chapel series on "Dealing with Conflict Biblically". Very good, very helpful, and very wise. (Hard to imagine that communities of missionaries would ever have serious conflict among themselves, right? he he he) He had a good quote about unforgiveness that made us all laugh and cut to our hearts.
"Do you know what unforgiveness is?...It is drinking poison and hoping that the other person dies."
He went to say,
"When you do not forgive your brother you will seeth with anger and your soul will shrivel up, but the vast majority of the time your unforgiven brother has no idea about this."
Amen, let us forgive with joy as we have been forgiven so much by God at hefty price of the death of His Son.
