4 weeks to go...cow-ly great!

We have only 4 weeks left here of study in France until we return briefly to the States before we head to Africa. The time has passed too quickly, it seems that we were here only a few months before we started planning our return! But we look forward to seeing our families our friends and our church family back in Dallas. It truly is cow-ly great!

Now...to explain the bizarre adverb

in the title of this post and the equally bizarre photo above is a "translation" of a new French word that I learned in class. The word in French is vachement. The word vache means cow and the suffix -ment usually means that the word is an adverb. So take the word cow and make it an adverb. So a very literal translation of the parts of the words is "cow-ly". The true meaning is "very" or "really". Not too much of a surprise from a country that has more varieties of cheese than there are days in a year (not an exaggeration, that's a fact). Ahh French...what a language!
