there...and back again

The past month has been busy. So busy that I can hardly believe it's only been one month. So much has happened--a lot of travel, meetings, work and good fellowship!

In late March, we headed out with our neighbor Kathleen to take the long, bumpy road trip to Bangui from Berbérati. As before, I really enjoyed the beauty of the Central African countryside.

John and Sam enjoyed staying in our "old house" in Bangui, and turning clothes-washing time into impromptu swimming time on the back porch (cement slab, really).

We had wonderful fellowship with friends we had left behind in Bangui. Some ladies from our church came over and I taught them how to make banana bread :

We got to spend some time with our good friend and former Sango language teacher, Marie Claire, and her family:

And another highlight of being in Bangui was fellowshipping and worshipping with believers at the church we attended in Bangui:

The boys got sick with malaria just before our return trip to Berbérati, but God was gracious and they recovered quickly. We had a wonderful time of meetings and fellowship in Bangui, but are happy to be back in Berbérati.

More to come on the new work that Adam is embarking on with the translation team, and the launch of a new school in our area, the "Huntley Family Preschool."

  2. I like the picture where Sam is completely befuddled as to why John is puffing on/sniffing his head.
