I just thought I would upload a few photos that show some of what our life has been like since we got back to the U.S. For starters, I've been having a baby grow inside me, and (as you can probably tell from the photo!) he should be born any day now. We really can't wait to meet the new little guy!
We always feel so blessed by the people God puts into our lives and allows us to interact with. Last night, we got to have a couple friends--Nate and Elizabeth--over for supper. Elizabeth is a translation consultant for our branch in Central Africa, and it was great to be able to talk with her about what life is like in Bangui, the city where she has lived and where we will probably be living soon.
It was also great to have some of Nate's homemade dessert. Not just rice krispy bars, but actually fruity pebbles bars. If you have been feeling a sugar lack in your diet, please feel free to ask us for the recipe!
We've also really enjoyed being with little friends, like Hannah and Kayla, who are closer to John's age (we enjoy being with their parents, too). John likes being with other small people, and since he will any day now have a brother of his own, we are glad he's getting many opportunities to learn how to share things like attention, cheerios and toys.
Ruth, that is a beautiful color on you! Nurturing babies agrees with you :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the picture of you, Ruth. I also am excited to see your new little one soon! God is SO good! You are in our prayers.
