coming to the U.S....and we want to see you there!

Wow, have these past few weeks been crazy! But the highlight of late December and early January has been a great visit from Tom and Frieda (Adam's parents). Let me tell you: they got to Africa just in time to join us on quite the adventure.

It started with us hearing news of growing unrest in the country...then the rush of packing up important belongings to be ready to move out hours later...the upheaval of moving suddenly from home to an unknown location...an epic road trip across the wild and rough roads of two African countries...and finally, living out of suitcases for weeks.

I'm sure they could have chosen a more relaxing vacation destination, but we loved having them here with us every moment of it!

The political situation is still unstable and we are not able to return to our Berbérati home at this point. We pray and trust that there will be a peaceful resolution to the situation soon. Though it was difficult to leave our home suddenly, and to now realize we cannot go back for some time, we know God is in control and we trust Him completely. And alternate plans are beginning to take shape, under the guidance of our helpful leaders and mentors.

For starters, we're coming back to the United States on January 17th to begin our home assignment! This has something to do with you. Yes, you may have guessed it: if you live in America, and we can work it out to see you and spend some time with you, we would love to! So email us and let's set something up.

Also, we are looking for opportunities to share with churches, Sunday school classes or even small groups of friends in a home setting about the mission of Bible translation and how believers can get involved in this mission. If you'd like us to share with your church or a group in your home, please let us know: we would love to!
