Forget the cheese (Reblochon being my personal favorite), forget the mountains (said by some to be the best skiing in the world..the next winter Olympics being held only 2 exits down the highway from us), forget our wonderful French school IFALPES. The thing that we will miss most about Chambéry and Savoie when we leave them in 6 days is our friends here. Last night our friends the Fays threw us and the Zubots (the family that is on the couch with us below) a going-away party. Many of these people we will probably not see ever again in person or for a long time. We've enjoyed our time here with them, as all of them are involved in seeing the Bible get into the languages, hands, and hearts of people who, as of yet, do not have it. (How can you not love people like that? Of course, they're pretty likeable in their own right.)
Now before you get too sympathetic for John, he actually was not hurt. He fell on his bottom (while walking) and he was fine however, several people rushed to him with concern in their eyes and asked very loudly "Are you OK, John?!". When John sees this (even though he is not hurt) he will start to cry anyways. So, he actually is fine in this picture (well, kind of).
