Hey everyone, we went to the baby doctor here in Chambéry for Ruth's first baby checkup. Ruth is about 16 weeks along and the doctors here do an ultrasound on the first checkup. During the ultrasound we were surprised to see that we could clearly see that it was a boy! The little boy is also looking quite healthy and developing well too. He weighs about 200 grams, as our doctor said, "Just about the size of a pack of butter!" Ruth is doing well, just starting to feel a little more tired than usual. Oh yeah, for those of you who were wondering we are letting you know what the sex is...but the name will remain a secret until the little butter packet is born.
The first picture is a profile of the head. The second is a side view of him "laying down" with his arm and tiny little fingers and thumb (he's actually giving us a thumbs up!)
Yeah! We are so excited for you guys. Two boys in a row--should make for generous amounts of excitement!
